Plenty. On most days you’re looking at 8–10 hours of sun. March and April are really sunny months. November has more clouds, but honestly, you’ll still get beach weathe
What should I pack?
Keep it light:
- Swimwear
- Shorts
- Tanks / loose shirts
- Sandals
- Sunscreen (the sun here is strong)
If you’re coming in late summer or fall, throw in a light rain jacket or something for a quick shower.
Is the water warm enough to swim all year?
Absolutely. The sea stays around 26–29°C (79–84°F) year-round. We swim 12 months a year here — it’s one of the best things about the island.
Does it rain all day when it rains?
Not really. Rain usually comes in quick bursts. Maybe it rains for 10–20 minutes, then it’s sunny again. All-day grey skies are rare.
Which side of the island has calmer beaches?
The Caribbean side (west) is usually calmer — perfect for floating and snorkeling.
The Atlantic side (east) gets more wind and waves — that’s where kiteboarders and surfers like to play.
